What is presbyopia?

As people get older, it becomes more difficult for them to see nearby objects, they need to use glasses for reading and working closely. This is called presbyopia (old eye).

When it comes to age 40, the eye loses its flexibility and can not focus on nearby objects. Presbyopia is an inevitable change of middle age. Usually corrected with reading glasses. There is no diet or exercise to reduce progression. Presbyopia patients with bifocal or multifocal glasses with a refractive error such as myopia, hypermetropia, astigmatism can be given.
